Hello. Thank you for taking a look and your time.
I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with Q6600, 3GB ram (DDR2).
The MOBO have shown the amber LED light for a while, and does not work regularly (Sometimes PC turns on, another time does not)
So I decided to replace my MOBO. (Keep everything else)
I checked Newegg, and found I don't have many options.
I am wondering if Intel G43GT LGA775 would work for me.
I have my personal OS, so I wouldn't worry about the Dell's OS CD.

Thank you for reading this.

Paying extra for a 4 slot ram board doesn't make sense. You can buy ddr3 cheap and use it on a real upgrade later.
