I do not need to run this game at ultra, nor 1080p.

These are my specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4 GHZ

Mobo: ASRock 870 Extreme3 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

PSU: Corsair CMPSU-600CXV2 Builder Series™ CX600 Power Supply - 600W, 80 Plus, 120mm Fan, Single +12V Rail, Active PFC

RAM: 8GB

---------------

I am looking at the 550ti, or something else within the price range of $100-$130. Would a 550ti be okay for what I am looking for given my specs?

Thanks.

Is your PC monitor resolution something like 1680x1050?

Your graphics requirement will be less for the 1680x1050 resolution but if your native resolution is 1080p then it wouldn't look right scaled down so I would suggest a more powerful card but in any case if you get a GTX 480 or faster you wont have any issues.

Good Luck.

well if you can push your budget a little bit high and get the GTX 560Ti, it does great job @ 1680x @ high quality.
60 FPS, the game will run very smooth.
Also if you'll stick with a GTX 550Ti or GTX 460, is game is more than playable

Alright guys, thanks for all the info. I think I am going to push my budget a little bit up and get the 560ti that way I won't have to replace it as early as getting a weaker card. Appreciate the help.

I use a pair of MSI 580s myself. Pricey and I don't bother looking at the BF3 video options anymore over HDMI.

Little cards are big dust collectors these days. If you want to have game, you need the beef.
