I have the Asus ROG Maximus V Formula motherboard (which I like very much). Recently a Bios update was recommended by Asus using EZ Flash 2. My question is about this procedure. First of all, I read somewhere that I should use USB 2.0 (NOT USB 3.0) for the reason that EZ Flash 2 takes place before USB 3.0 is initiated. I have also read many times to use FAT32.
Therefore, should I limit my flash drive to only FAT32 USB 2.0 drives, or would a faster FAT32 USB 3.0 Flash Drive work? I ask because I will have to purchase a new flash drive either way? A USB 3.0 Flash Drive would be a better option if it will work. I have read that EZ Flash 2 can be problematic.
