Upgrading my RAM, GPU & PSU

My current PC looks like this...

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P ATX
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition (OC'd 3.4 -> 3.7 GHz)
GPU: ASUS 9600GT 1GB
PSU: Corsair VX 550W
RAM: OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 1333MHz Platinum XTC 4GB

This is a PC I built two years ago. I'm looking for a better GPU, a power supply unit to match it and 8GB of RAM (possibly more, if suggested).

My friend told me he could sell his ASUS 440GT 1GB for 70£.

I can't really keep up with the new components on my own so I'll rely on you guys.

  1. Hmm, what's your budget? Because you can definitely reuse the 550W PSU, it's more than enough for most modern gfx cards.

I would go with this upgrade:

    RAM:
    Corsair Memory XMS3 8GB
    £38.16

    Video card:
POV Point of View GeForce GTX 560 Ti
    £173.47

The total is around £200, if you need it around £150, you can go with this gfx card:
    Radeon 6850 XFX
    £134.02
