This is my current specs:
AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4Ghz
RAM 4GB Transcend 1333mhz
GPU MSI 4890 Cyclone 1GB
PSU 740w Corsair
win7 64bit
hdd sata II 500gb 7200rpm

so i want to play bf3 on high or ultra settings and i was wandering what gpu i should get? and if my cpu is not a hidrance for the new gpu,coz i've been told phenom x4 II is a little bit outdated.... my current gpu makes the game very spiky, and it's on low settings....i was wandering aswell if i need 8gb of ram and not only 4....ty in advance

@ des7ini
What is your gaming resolution ?
HD 6970 is great but GTX 570 is doing much better in BF3 specifically.

And by the way, you should do pretty good with 4890 in DX10 mode, around 43 FPS @ high quality @ 1680x

ok will buy the 750 friday, tnx man it's so annoying playing with the 4890 msi...it's not smooth at all,you can't enjoy the game like that, having the chance to kill 6-7 people and dying because it's not smooth.. :/

tho the 570's i can buy are:palit GTX 570 (PCI-Express, GDDR5, 1280MB)
TwinTech GTX 570 (PCI-Express, GDDR5, 1280MB)
Sparkle GTX 570 (PCI-Express, GDDR5, 1280MB)
which one is the better choise?

If so, check some reviews and feedback on the GPU before you buy it.
Most purchases go to MSI Twin Frozer, Asus Direct CU II, Gigabyte SOC...

Sparkle, Palit, ...bla bla bla.... said to be low quality materials and components
