New build, but having problems keeping it stable.

Hello, I just built a new computer and I'm having some problems with it right now. For the most part the pc runs pretty quickly but if I try to put anything into fullscreen it'll just bog down and then randomly after that it will crash.

My specs are:
Foxconn Inferno Katana Intel Motherboard
Intel 650 duo core 3.2ghz
Noctua nh-d14 cooler
patriot viper extreme 8gb ram
evga nvidia 550ti video card
corsair 650 watt power supply
Seagate 1tb 7200 rpm hdd

I've tried reapplying the thermal paste thinking that might have been the problem and that did make it a little more stable but I'm still having the problem with keeping the computer from crashing. I don't know what it is anymore. Can anyone help?

Try taking out RAM and putting in one at a time to see if it is a RAM problem.

Start up in safe mode and tell me if it crashes under the same circumstances.
