Possibly, ivybridge-e may be on socket 2011. Same thing they did with sandybridge, except this time we may see 8 core ivybridge-e cpu's. This is only a rumor though...

No Ivy Bridge-E this year. Maybe early 2013 but no one knows for sure. Intel could just skip Ivy Bridge-E and go onto Haswell-(E?) for all we know.

Intel's roadmap showed that SB-E will dominate the extreme end for 2012.

With that long of a life for SB-E, I wonder if they will ever put out the full 8 core version. They probably won't, but hopefully they will for Haswell-E.
