Hey Viewers,

First time posting on tom's hardware, if I'm in the wrong place to post this I apologize.

Here's a parts list of my build I'm using, its only some of the parts. If you need to know more please let me know and I will add them, these are just the parts I feel are relevant to my question(s).

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C9Q-32GZH

AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz

CORSAIR HX Series HX1050 1050W

I'm overclocked to 5.03ghz (liquid cooled using a corsair h100i). I am trying to achieve 1866mhz speed on my Ripjaws Z, I have been able to achieve 1600mhz stable. I guess in short my question is what do I need to do to achieve 1866mhz?

I'm pretty computer savy, but memory is one area I have never really touched upon. When I bump the clock to 1866 the computer will POST and begin to boot into windows. Sometime I'll get to the start menu and get the BSOD, other times It will get to the boot screen and BSOD. So I feel as if I'm close to achieving my goal, I just can't seen to figure out what I need to do or change to get there. Below are pics I've taken of my BIOS and the settings I'm using for 1600mhz.

Sorry I'm like, 2 years late.

Here's what you do.

Select DRAM Profile -> 1866MHz (Warning Voltage Unstable)

Set System Voltage to Manual (Warning Voltage Unstable)

Set System Voltage to Auto (Voltage Stable)

Job Done.

Edit : Extra note, some people's systems default to 1333MHz under this setting, in this case replace Selected profile with "Profile 1".

If I were to try and use xmp, do I need to change all my settings back to auto for it to work properly? I'm wondering if it did not do that when I was attempting to set xmp.

Thanks again!

make sure you already use the latest bios and return it to cmos cleared and default.
try only two memories in dual channel, set xmp enabled and make cpu ratio compatible with the settings, don't change other memory settings just use xmp.
