Memory Not Adding Up in Task Manager

I know this question has been asked before but I couldn't find a definitive answer on this. Can anyone please tell me why despite having 8GB of RAM installed and confirmed within Windows, the task manager only adds up to 2-3GB but states I apparently have nearly 70% memory running?

8GB RAM Installed
- Task Manager programs all add up to 2.5GB
- 65% running of 8GB though means 5.2GB being used
- Hence 2.7GB of unaccountable memory.

What is using this 2.7GB up? Any help much appreciated.

Press Ctrl+shift+esc to open the task manager then to the processe tab shows the processes and how much ram memory they take up. Thats all I know......
