PC help

I am building myself a gaming PC for moderate gaming(not looking to spend more then 800$ i am building it myself) But what im asking is should i upgrade my current computer or start over with a new MOBO?

Current computer

MOBO:M4A78LT-M
RAM:(Will be transferred into new PC if possible) 16gb g skill 1600mhz ddr3 12800
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 black edition
GPU: ATI radeon 5450 1gb

If theres anything else you need to know please feel free to ask

    Also, get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. They are only about 20 bucks. Then you can do some overclocking.

    I was thinking of getting a I5 3570k would that be better then my current one?

    If you have the budget to get the 3570k and the 7870 or 7850, then go for it. However, getting a new GPU is much better than getting a new CPU in terms of gaming performance. If you can only afford 1 upgrade, then you should take the new GPU.
