Hello, i was considering buying AMD radeon 6570, the problem is that im not pretty sure it´d be a good idea, just because the 'computer' is a three year-old HP with 2GB in RAM DDR2, the processor is the 820 intel pentium D and has a sata 250 gb HD, and it came with ati 200 xpress graphics integrated; so do you think all this stuff deserves spending on the HD 6570 or i should buy HD 6450, im going to gaming a bit, but integrated graphics doesn´t support more than shaders 2.0

Solution
A 6450 is for those guys who sit at work at their desks and make pretty powerpoints and work with two monitors. the card itself is not useful for much more than playing Blu-Rays or running two monitors.

According to the image I am going to attempt to post (never posted an image before), your case should not need low profile. If you mean single-slot, then 5670's are not too hard to find single slot. Low profile is more for those little skinny computers those businesses use.

If you actually do need low profile for whatever reason, here are two cards.

Yea, the computer is an HP m7630la, i dont think it helped, but the power supply is a 300 W one, the resolution is 1280 x 1024, i´ve already mention intel pentium d 820, 2 gb ram ddr2 and win XP sp3.

A 5670 will bring life back into that old horse, yet the Pentium D won't be doing you much in terms of gaming unless it is clocked higher. If you are running games such as L4D or any similar games, you should be alright with that card. If you want to do anything more high end, in the long run it would be more beneficial to just get a new computer. I stuck my old 8800GT into my old HP and it plays most games on high settings still with an old AMD Athlon X2 (given the resolution is only 1280x1024). It also ups the resale value of the computer, since 5670s are cheap.

*Hi Deemo13, I started looking for the 5670 on some local hardware stores, but in the ones that are still selling the 5670´s want $110, and also i´d like a card with low profile space. Do you know if i will have problems with 6450 it is PCI-e 2.1 x16; and my mother only says PCI-e x16.

These are only 6570's, but should do fine in low-end gaming.

Here is a Radeon 5670 (good price too)

That last one was a 6670, but same thing really.

I know i´m bothering you, but i wanted a single slot card as a wanted to install also a slot fan
in order to keep in order temps....

thanks anyway....

Single slot does not usually mean the same as a low profile card. All low profile cards are single slot, yet not all single slot cards are low profile. A single slot card and a slot fan is a good idea; thats what I have in my spare rig to cool the insanely hot Nvidia 8800GT. The 5670's are not too powerful, therefore they won't heat up like a 8800GT, but a slot fan is not a bad idea.

Here are two single-slot 5670's

(That first one is an insanely low price)

Oddly though, that first one only runs DX 10.1, which is weird, because I am pretty sure the 5000 Series was DX11

P.S. You aren't bothering me, I like doing this stuff.
