Motherboard serial number

Hi. I just bought a gpu lately, and the rebate requires me to put in motherboard serial number...i dont wanna open my comp again and blow it up. Is it ok if i put a fake motherboard serial number on the form? Is there a way for them to find out and not gimme rebate? AFAIK, i called my PC builder, motherboard builder, and ALL of them say they don't keep track of my serial number, so maybe the GPU company wouldn't know? Or is there always a special format for S/N's of all motherboards that they will know if im lying?

use sisoftware sandra under motherboard module you find the serial number of your board

i tried software. It just leaves the Mobo serial number blank...I already sent my rebate forms. Do you think i'll get it?

You'll find out eventually. But it makes no sense that a rebate for a video card would ask anything about the motherboard.
