I just wonder if I send a SMS with reply path is on.
Then my friend reply to my message.

Do I charge my friend's replay message? Because my friend usese my network.

I understand that one of the original reasons behind the reply
path mechanism was to allow for "reverse-charging" (for a single
reply only, for each message).

But implementation by carriers has been both rare and chaotic.
So anything at all is possible when you request a reply path be
negotiated. The most likely result seems for the reply path bit
to be stripped from the original message as it passes through
your SMSC (so that the received message does not have the reply
path bit set).

Other possible outcomes include:

the recipient not being able to reply to your messages at all

you both being charged for the return message

neither being charged for the return message

one or the other being charged.
