Hey guys,
I am having a really bad problem with my mobo which is not that old at all.

So I got this CPU_LED solid red on boot up problem a couple days ago. It had happened before, but a quick change of thermal paste fixed it for some reason. Now, I really don't know why it's on.

Some suggestions were to replace the processor (which I was going to do anyway) so I went out and bought an AMD FX 6300 and put it in. Light still on.

Next, I replaced the cr2032 lithium battery like some suggested. Light still on.

I am very much in need of help at this point. I'll post my specs now.

AMD FX 6300 @ stock
Asus M5A99X EVO
GeForce GTX 550 Ti
8GB (4GB x 2) of brand less memory
128GB Samsung SSD
500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue @7200 RPM
500Watt Cooler Master PSU

Thanks! I would really love an answer or some advice :)

Well, man...if your motherboard isn't even POSTing, then it's probably dead...I won't be saying that with 100% assurance, but...it is highly likely. :\
If your warranty is still up and running, maybe try RMAing it?

Alright I will, I hope the process doesn't take too long, is Asus good with replacing their products? I live in the US if that matters much.

EDIT: I guess the general consensus is to RMA the mobo? If anyone else has an opinion I'd love to hear it.
