It runs win 7 home premium out of the box. I believe that only supports 8gb of ram. If i upgrade to win 7 ultimate can i run 2x8gb sticks of ram? Its a 64bit system.
Cheers people

Unfortunately your PC only supports up to 8GB of memory. I believe the Mobo is the reason for the limitation and not the operating system...

Unfortunately your PC only supports up to 8GB of memory. I believe the Mobo is the reason for the limitation and not the operating system that you are on. However even if this was not the case Windows 7 Home Premium already supports a maximum of 16GB of RAM so their would be no need to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate if that is your reason for upgrading.
