Computer turns off after 1 minute.

I was going to replace my motherboard from a GA-Z77-DS3H to a GA-EX58-UD3R but that didn't seem to work. Then the comp started to shut down 1 minute after I turned to on. I thought it was my PSU but after I replaced it, it would still do the same thing. So I'm thinking it MUST be my motherboard.
I have been having this problem for 3 days now and have tried everything I could think of to make it work but just will not.
I am done trying to figure it out on my own.

Have you tried installing a LGA1155 CPU to a 1366 board?

You can't use the same cpu in LGA 1155 and LGA 1366. It shouldn't start up at all.

What made you think I was using a LGA 1155? I don't know what I have but it fits. I had a smaller one on my old mobo, I didn't use that one. How can I tell what the one I have now is? I don't have the box.

It would be good to identify the CPU you've installed on the new board (Z77). Try cleaning the thermal paste and check the CPU:

The first board you linked is a 1155, the second is 1366. You're the one who told use what motherboards you had and switched to, so we're going off that.

You said you chaged from a z77 to x58 mobo. z77=LGA 1155; x58=LGA 1366

The Z77 was the old board. The cpu I had for it was the Intel Core i7-2600k

A 2600k won't work with an x58 board. I'm confused as to how a z77 mobo could be an "old" board.

And did you buy a new CPU or trying the same CPU on it. You're not explaining things well and it's making it hard to figure out what you did and what you have.

i7-920 is an old cpu. I don't believe x58 is being made any more. Why do you want to downgrade from a 2600k to a 920?

Actually I think the problem was that the CPU fan I was using had old thermal grease on the bottom. I just cleaned it off and I'm going put more on. I'll see if that works and will tell you the results.

I already had the mobo but I hadn't used it. I want to because I can connect more hard drives to it.
