Cheaper alternative to extreme 4?

As you can tell from the title i need a cheaper motherboard that can atleast overclock well and the sli compatibility isn't too important but i was wondering if the p8z77-v lx is good enough?

Asus p8z77-v LK, not the LX, the LX doesn't support SLI.

Anything cheaper that's good for oc'ing i don't really care for sli as much

ok finally if we completely get rid of the crossfire/sli thing would the p8z77-v-lx be a good choice for overclocking?

...good god. First of all, the extreme 4 is already a budget motherboard.

Second, you obviously aren't looking for an answer to the question, you're looking for someone to tell you that the motherboard you want to buy is good so you have an excuse to buy it.

However, as far as I can tell, that motherboard is MORE expensive than the extreme 4... so yes, while it would be good for overclocking, it's not what you're looking for.

If you read my last post you'd see i asked if the p8z77-v-lx is a good option for overclocking. and i already know the extreme 4 is a budget motherboard,

you see sometimes people can't buy what is considered budget so they look for something cheaper that still does what they ask for JUST an fyi.

i'll just search around more please don't post any more replies
