Can i upgrade my dell precision m6400 laptop processor

Am looking to changing the processor of my precision workstation laptop (m6400). Current processor is Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz (2 CPUs)

Is this posible? and which higher processors will be best and at what cost?

Really CMI86?!? That's your best answer? Why post anything at all?

I'm currently reasearching this same topic. From what I've heard the answer is no because most laptop processors are soddered onto the motherboard.

That's most, not all. Short of tearing into my M6400 (and yes I've torn into a laptop before) I'm courious as to whether anyone else has been able to upgrade the processor in their M6400.
