We're thinking about adding the ability for badges earned here on Tom's to be displayed on an individual's LinkedIn profile. What are your thoughts?

Interesting concept.... May play a factor for those in the "Computer Field" but those of us that do this for a "hobby" and have jobs that unrelated to the "Computer Field", it would not be much benefit... IMO

Tecmo34 should be awarded the computer field 'hobby' badge.

Thanks Badge... I was still hoping to be the "Court Jester" or "Badge's Apprentice" though for my title. I've always wondered why you weren't a Moderator by now?

Well, there are no MODs left from when I first came onboard. I came along with the current group of MODs. I've know many of the current group on here for like four years now. I came onboard Tom's during Socket A. I had just built my first system, ASUS A7NX Deluxe Socket A, AMD 3200 (dual channel capability PC3200). Then I built a Pentium D 805 after reading a Tom's article about how well it overclocked. That 805 D is a the front desk here today. The AMD 3200 socket A is running great stored away in the closet. I would need a new wardrobe should I become a MOD. I'm still wearing the same underwear I had on building the 3200.

It's an interesting idea.

I'm all for displaying my hardware. Maybe it'll impress Jane. [:aford10:7]

It always comes back to impressing Jane doesn't :)  I so agree

Ahem. Back to the topic you's.

The people I know on LinkedIn already know my abilities. Frankly showing them I've been awarded a certificate of competence in tying my own shoe laces is not something I would bother with.

I agree with aford10, interesting idea. Why not do it?

The badges resetting from gold back to bronze still needs to be sorted out.

Definitely a feature to push for after the new forum platform becomes live. :)
