Disk Error

Hello, can installing a heatsink wrong cause a disk error? All my hard drives are fine. I read somewhere that overheating the mobo can cause a disk error or something. Thanks

More about disk error
  1. it could send wrong signal to the motherboard and the memory report disk error but i would test all my drive with the maker test tool in case .
  2. I tested my drive with WD data lifeguard and here are the results:
    Test Option: QUICK TEST
    Model Number: WDC WD1002FAEX-00Y9A0
    Unit Serial Number: WD-WMAW31569983
    Firmware Number: 05.01D05
    Capacity: 1000.20 GB
    SMART Status: PASS
    Test Result: PASS
    Test Time: 22:01:50, February 20, 2013

Could it be something wrong with the settings in the BIOS?
It detects both of my hard drive, but I don't know why I still get a disk check error sometimes
  3. do the quick and long test it could pass smart but having something .
