Just wondering what the performance differences in gaming with these three would be. I have found two separate benchmarks which had results that weren't similar (one had a difference of 1 fps between each tier while the other had like 10 or something).

Would the i3-2120 bottleneck a Radeon HD 7850?

Finally, how much in % performance does the 2500k gain?

the i3 would be fine with a 7850 but I personally would want the i5 because of the quad core.

The difference isn't much between the cpus

heres them with an 7970, the difference would much be lower with an 7850.

@ a lower resolution the i5 would be much better. . .and probably why you saw a difference in the benchmarks . it is more about what your budget is and if you are going to do anything other than gaming.

Thats true, the 2500k in that benchmark is @4ghz, would being at 4.5 ghz yield much more?
