hi, new to the site and i had a few questions on upgrading my system to better perform for gaming. here are the specs

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01896260&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4007354]

i mainly want to know what sort of GPU would a good compatible upgrade with the motherboard, i know the PSU will need upgrading as well as it only has a 300w psu.

as far as budget goes, i want to try and keep this in the $200 range, of course if the difference is a little overbudget and warrants good performance gains then im willing to flex to the max at about $300.

also budget aside i want to upgrade the ram to something faster, maybe 2x4 gb @ 1333 mhz which i think is the fastest that this motherboard will support, but i dont know what sort of difference that will make or if it will even be worth the $40 or so to buy the parts

my screen resolution is 1920x1080 on a 23 inch monitor. and i plan on purchasing another so i can have dual displays.

Thanks in advance :D

Try this. Install an ATI HD5770 or HD6770. That is a great $115 video card that only uses 108 watts max. It should work with your existing 300 watt PSU as long as you don't overclock it.

If you plan to overclock, or plan to spend more money for a higher performance card then you need a PSU upgrade. Open case, find your PSU 4 screws holdit on. Would you be comfortabel opening the case and removing the old PSU and replacing it with one that is the same shape but delivers 450 watts? If so then you can go with any video card that fits the length of your case.
