hello everyone.i have a problem with my cpu and i dont know what to do...i have a i7 950 at 3.07Ghz and i am using noctua c12p se14 cooler. the fan speed is at 1259rpm and i am geting on idle 47c and running 2 mins prime 95 i am gettin 85c. while i am playing BF3 for an hour or 2 am getting 76-81. i m sure that the cpu cooler is correctly install. before i buy the noctua cooler i saw this test http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/noctua_nhc12p_s...
but i m not getting similar results.. in my country the weather is hot. now in my city we have 17c and in summer we have 35-40c.
what can i do???

Best if you just take the heatsinkk out and clean it than put some thermal paste on it and screw it in but Dont remove heatsink after putting the paste in because it cause bubble and it'll be bad for you... Also take a Pic of your PC just to let us know what's going on...

I would definitly clean out the fan/heatsink and re-apply thermal paste and see if that helps.

It been 2 days, How hard is it to upload some Pic or clean out thermal paste and heatsink and reapply them? BTW, your case may have insufficient airflow or the heatsink is blowing down or something, it could of also be lack of contact or with no thermal paste on it...

i think the problem was the room temps. i have the case open the one side and now i have my fan cooler speed in 750 RPM and i put the pc in front of an open window and now i get 40c on idle and 66 when i play BF3:p P

Probably should have advised him on how much TMC to use. If he uses too much of that stuff it won't go well.

What's your room temperature, I understand it being 5-15*C higher but of your room temp is 20*C, it should be 30-35*C... If it's like 25-40*C higher than your room temp(On Idled CPU), you have a problem that need to be solved...
