Hi everyone. I have decided to make a new build. This time for some gaming.

This is my build now:
Amd 955
silver power 750w modular
western digital caviar 500gb
msi gf-615 mobo
xfx 5670 graphic card
cooler master haf x

I will buy a new graphic card, the amd 6870 and a new mobo, the gigabyte 990xa-ud3. Later on I will upgrade to a second card, so I will run a 6870 crossfire solution. Would some of you recommend this build?

I will get the first 6870 very cheap from my brother, that is why I took the 6870 and not a high-end card.

Any thoughts?

I'm confused, if this is a new build, why are you already replacing the mobo and graphics card.....seems if this was a new build there would be much better choices than what you have listed.

If your building from used parts, then it's an ok build.

Yes, maybe I put it in the wrong category. Would it run games like, Battlefield 3, Skyrim and the new upcoming games on high settings with a 1680x1050 resolution? :)

BF3 recommends a minimum HD5850 which is performance wise between a HD6850 and HD6870. So a single 6870 would probably run medium settings at that resolution.

I will have a crossfire setup with 2 6870s.
