i doubt that whether i can save my files in other drives like d,e and f .and later changing the os,will i be able to recover my files? since the c drive will be getting formatted for the new os,?

does not mater if it another drive as long as the drive is healthy you can drag and drop your files or use a data backup program.
when you install the new os make sure the other drives are unplugged so windows does not try a format or change there partion info.
