Preformance issues in games here is my rig setup

Hello, iam having some performance issues in star wars i know it is the game itself but i need to upgrade a little bit any pointers? here is my rig

intel E6600 stock
ati 4870 1gb hd
asus p5q-e mobo
gskill 2x2gb of ram ddr2
zalman copper heatsink fan
windows vista
all drivers up to date.

any tips would be helpful. thanks

Are you talking about the old republic? For a lot of people, the shadows are too much to bare for their builds. Turn off shadows see what happens. Otherwise, its hard to reccomend an upgrade on an LGA 775 socket computer. If your going to upgrade, your better off salvaging everything except the processor, ram, graphics card, and motherboard and start with the newer i5 or i7 processors. Also, check for driver updates to your graphics card.
