WIll you need the new 3d monitors for 3d vision 2?

I want to get the new Nvidia 3d vision 2 when it comes out and a 3d monitor but will I need to get one of the new asus or acer monitors to use the lightboost technology? Also what is ghosting and is it annoying? if I don't need to get one of the new 3d monitors coming out I will probably get the ASUS VG236HE or the Acer GD235HZbid
