The GTX 560 Ti 2Win is here! Is it worth it?

Hey guys, I noticed on Newegg the GTX 560 Ti 2Win is now available to buy:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Still wondering how close this card comes to (x2) 560 Ti since there are no real reviews yet.

Also, it isn't clear to me if it supports quad-sli i.e. (x2) GTX 560 Ti 2Win, does anyone know if it does or not?

Discuss.

More about : gtx 560 2win worth

There are some reviews on it, for me it's totally useless because 2 GTX 560Ti in SLI is the same performance (Nothing New), 2 GTX 570s in SLI outperforms it, don't see it a great bang for the buck.

And yes it does support Quad SLI.

With the new series from AMD, nVidia based on the 28nm process, and XDR2 rambus memory i guess those current GPUs won't offer too much to compete.

Its only really worth it if you dont have a board that supports SLI, if you do you can actually get two Superclocked GTX 560 Ti's for less than one GTX 560 Ti 2Win, and they would definitely yield better performance. Dual GPU cards that aren't top of the line are really only meant for systems that don't support SLI or CF, but they also run hot and have a hard time fitting in many cases. At 11.5" long, it would be hard to fit that card in many cases, a normal 560 Ti is only around 9"

That is wrong, you can only run the card on a motherboard that supports sli or only 1(one) of the GPU cores is usable!

on non-SLI motherboards the 2Win would only function as a single GTX 560 Ti in spite of the presence of both GPUs on the same card

Shame it's not a 2GB card or it would have been a nice card...

Are you saying 2gb per gpu or 2gb total because it is 2gb total (1gb per gpu) and it does offer better performance than the GTX 580. Which now if you have a sli board you can have two of these in quad out performing two 580's in sli and taking up the same amount of space.

you see the chart above showing BC3 @1920 res ? I bet that card spits and sputters at those settings where the 580 won't. It does not perform better than the 580....... it may show higher frame rates but it sucks in comparison.

I wasn't lost at all, sometimes you need to be specific in explaining what you do mean ;)

It's a Dual GPU card, indeed it's faster than a single GPU card, see benches above.

Ok so what you guys are telling me the GTX 560Ti 2win would be a better buy (cheaper than GTX 580) if you use a HD monitor?

I would only ever buy that card if i had 1 pcie lane available on a mobo and really wanted 2 gpus for some reason. O i almost forgot the 590 is dual gpu 2 isnt it? I rather have that.

hmm yes that is expensive. It would seem both cards are a fail. Looks like I could cook a hearty biscuit on that big ass win card thou...perhaps even a bacon biscuit.

First of all nvidia uses Samsung 1ns Gddr5 ram clocked at 1GHZ (4GHZ)
So they actually OC the ram by 8mhz. Which is probably why you see a 2fps difference between that and a normal 560ti sli setup.
