Will this work?

I use an old AMD Athlon PC to act as a media server in my home, and it has been running fine for the past five years, but yesterday the PSU stopped working, I took a look inside the psu and there were bulging capacitors, this PSU was 235watts, and I have other 300watt and higher PSU's laying around, my question is can I plug any PSU into the motherboard?

If it has all the required connectors it should be fine!
  2. definitely. capacitors do age, all though sounds like you had some bad caps. but slap a replacement in. as long as it delivers the needed power and had the right connectors there shouldn't be an.issue.

sounds lke its for a low power situation but some PSUs do suck. feel free to ask and give parts if
