Best monitor for gaming

Hello, I'm looking at buying a monitor to replace the TV I currently use. Its main use would be gaming, but also watching blu rays. I don't want something too big, so a 24" is fine, all I'm interested in is a really good quality picture and blacks, I know an IPS panel produces better colours but would the one I found be suitable for gaming? Any monitors you can recommend?

These monitors have 120hz refresh rate and a low response time , both good features for gaming.

Isn't the 120Hz wasted unless the my gpu runs games at more than 60fps? I like the look of this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009222 but it doesn't list the native contrast only dynamic! Ideally I'm trying to find a monitor with a native contrast of higher than 1000:1, and one without 3D as I can't stand it! I know I don't HAVE to use the 3D, but it'll save me a some money if I can find one without it!

Yeah that Asus one is one I've already looked at! I'll probably end up going for that one, I just wanted to see if anyone could recommend anything better or with a higher contrast ratio for around similar money!
