Hey guys,

My specs are as follows
i5 3570k
Asus sabertooth z77 motherboard
Crucial m4 128 gb ssd
Gigabyte Radeon 7870
Corsair HX750 PSU
16 gb Gskill Ram

My computer runs fine.

When I boot my computer up there is a short single beep. I think it is coming from my motherboard but I am not completely sure. Here is a link to what it sounds like (this is not my computer it just makes the same sound on start up):

Again, my computer runs fine... however, my brother has the same build as me with a different video card (asus nvidia gtx 670) and SSD (samsung), but his does not beep when he boots his computer up...

what is going on here?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure if you got an answer on YouTube, the computer is just POST-ing, basically checking to make sure the components are in working order before starting. Your brother may have not connected the small speaker that produces the sound, it comes with most motherboards nowadays, (I doubt it's built in, so I'd bet he just didn't install it).

Here's a little more information: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

You're fine, no need to worry unless you start getting BSOD or failed start-ups.
