drive, drive drive. Most if not all skills are simply a matter of
doing them for as much time as possible. Do the taxi missions, the
ambulance, pimping, anything which involves driving... or just drive
around. It can be tedious but it is helpful later on.

Do the same on motorbikes and in planes more than any others as you
need to be able to ride bikes well and fly planes well later on.

Even your gun rating is just a matter of firing as much as possible of
the weapon of choice.
