Hi guys, I'm new to this forum but been checking it out a lot for tips on my build. I ordered everything from newegg and was wondering if it's a decent build. My budget was between $800 and $900.

1 x ($84.99) CASE LIANLI|LANCOOL BK PC-K62 RT

1 x ($219.99) CPU INTEL|CORE I5 2500K 3.3G 6M R

1 x ($149.99) VGA HIS|H687FN1GD HD6870 1G R

1 x ($149.99) MB GIGABYTE|GA-Z68XP-UD3P Z68 R

1 x ($79.99) PSU OCZ| OCZ-ZS650W 650W RTL

1 x ($124.99) HD 1T|ST SATA6.0 32M ST31000524AS % - OEM

1 x ($43.99) MEM 4Gx2|GSKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

1 x ($15.99) DVD BURN SAMSUNG | SH-222BB/BEBE % - OEM

1 x ($99.99) MS WIN 7 HOME SP1 64BIT 1PK - OEM

Subtotal $969.91
Discount - $83.80
Rebate - $45.00
Total $841.11

I was a little iffy about the HIS video card and the GIGABYTE motherboard but they was discounted and couldn't pass it up.
I originally wanted a SAPPHIRE Radeon 6870 video card and a ASROCK extreme 3 gen 3 motherboard. Did I make the right choice?

Thanks

The motherboard was confusing because different forums gave different input. Some said gigabyte was good and others said it booted bad. Asrock was similar how people liked it and some didn't like the company. The graphic card most said it didn't matter which company. The only thing i worry about is the DVD burner, the one review they had on newegg recently said it shattered his CD. Hopefully, that doesn't happen to me. Haven't gotten all my parts yet, I'll update when i get it all together and running.

Thanks for your reply
