Will my AM2 motherboard support AM2+ or a quadcore processor?

Hey I have a HP pc, but as of right now i just want to upgrade my processor.

My motherboard is this:

Can I upgrade to at least a quadcore phenom?

I have just a regular am2 socket.

  4. You could try an old Phenom X4, but a new (LGA 1155) platform is advised.
