I7 2600k or wait for ivy?

Hey guys.
I heard that Ivy's release has been moved to an earlier date, which is a mere days from now.

However, I've seen an i7 2600k in microcenter for $199.99
It seems such a good deal, but Ivy is right around the corner....
I don't know what to do, should I wait for Ivy, or grab the 2600k while its hot?
$199.99 for an i7 seems like a steal, imo.

Opinions needed!

I would wait for Ivy, unless you don't plan to buy a PCIE 3.0 card, which only IB can maximise it's full potential.
If youre just going to use your PCIE 2.0 card for a while, get the 2600k

The Ivy Bridges isn't going to give that much greater performance. It's really up to you. We're so close to the release date that I would just wait and see how it benchmarks.

From my understanding, no cards right now can fully utilize the PCI-E 3.0 slots anyways. The video card benchmarks that I've seen from somewhere comparing the PCI-E 3.0 and 2.0 show that they are almost identical as of now. It'll probably take another blitz of graphics cards before the PCI-E 3.0 are fully utilized.

Also, I've read that Ivy will only bring about 10-15% performance boost.... Within the $200 price range, I'm thinking that the Sandy i7 will be faster than Ivy i5, no?

i would buy the i7-2600 for $200. The i5-3570 is currently being sold for $300
