Ram set up

Hi,I have a quad channel kilt of g. skill 16gb 1600mhz. In the bios I have xmp enabled and have the dram frequency set to 1600mhz.but my pc wont boot at this settings,i have asus p8h61-mx,i7 2600,i have google about this but could not find the right answer
