They say that a turnaround is coming, but I wonder if they are going to
be able to make it. The electronics world sure is a tough place to
play, far more so than was the traditional film camera business of a
decade or more ago.

I wouldn't be too worried. Olympus are into medical imaging stuff too.
Cameras are and always were just a small part of the company.
