How to assemble

ok you guys probably get this alot. how do you assemble a pc? do you just plug everything into each other and turn it on, is it that simple.

will the following parts fit into each other and work properly:

Aerocool syclone 2
Asus M5A97 AMD Motherboard
aerocool rs 12 fan
huntkey apfc 600w
amd phenomII x4 965
Patriot G2 Series 8GB-1600Mhz Kit
Radeon HD5770
