GPU Short Circuit?

Hey guys, I have a question about my graphics card. A few months ago I was attempting to build my first PC and that failed because I forgot the brass standoffs (also my case didn't come with any... a case that I ordered from Newegg...) Anyway, I bought a new pre-made PC but that graphics card and power supply sucks! I just tested my Power supply from my other failed attempted PC build and it works fine! I just want to know if my GPU is still okay... So I want to ask if it would be safe to plug in my graphics card into my new PC?? Would it screw up my new PC? Would the GPU just be dead hardware and then I can just throw it away then buy a new one.. thanks!

plugging a dead GPU into a motherboard won't hurt anything, the worst that could happen is that it wouldn't work.

I would go ahead and test your GPU in your new PC
