Hey Guys,

I plan on building a new gaming PC for myself, below is a list of the hardware I am planning on using, and I would like some advise on my possible future set up:

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070

MoBo: EVGA Z68 FTW 160-SB-E689-K2 LGA 1155 Intel
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188099

GPU: EVGA SuperClocked 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130590

Memory: CORSAIR XMS3 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233190

Or

CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145347[/url]

Power Supply: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX950
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139013

I am not set in stone on any of the components, and am open to suggestions. The reason I have listed a 1333 ram set, is because I heard the i7 - 2600k is not supported with anything > 1333 Mhz, has anyone else heard of this or ran into this problem? Any other problems anyone sees with the above set up?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I do not plan on doing heavy video editing, but that is a possability in the future, just out of curiosity, why would you recommend the i5 - 2500k over the i7 - 2600k? Is the extra cache and Hyper-threading not worth it?
