Motherboard question

Hello, keyboard had soda spilled on it. bought new keyboard. Went to remove ribbon cable from motherboard and the plastic connector that locks down on ribbon cable broke (desintegrated). Bought new motherbd. Computer turns on stays on for about 5 seconds
and then cuts off. No display on Screen at all

Y did you need to remove the ribbon cable after replacing your keyboard.....Whatever maybe its your power connector to the motherboard thats faulty




Or maybe its your new keyboard

Question is hard to answer without details. What was your old mobo, what is your new mobo?
Are we talking about desktop or laptop? Your problem sounds more like a power supply problem but I couldn't troubleshoot with so litte info.
It could also have to do with settings in your bios.
Might also be because you have new mobo paired with o.s. from a diff mobo with diff drivers etc...
