I had to replace my motherboard due to powerloops and I noticed my computer doesn't perform like it used to. I upgraded my mobo from a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128506 to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131791
I can't overclock my cpu because I get bluescreens, my cpu seems unstable. I overclocked it the rightway I'm 100% sure. My games like MW3 and Black Ops no longer max out on fps, the fps seems very unstable. There is another game I play that's called darkfall and I talked to a buddy of mine that plays it, we both configured the ingame settings exactly the same, he has a i7 2500k oc to 4.8ghz and a GTX 560(non TI) and 4gb ram @1600 He got between 280-305 fps in the same area as I did while I had 60-115 and I have an HIS HD 5870 Turbo(which outperforms the GTX 560) and an i5 2500k non oc due to the bluescreens and 8gb ram @1600, there shouldn't be such a great difference in performance. My rig ran so much better with the cheaper mobo, I don't get it... But I was wondering if there is a way to do a hardware diagnostic test on my computer without bringing it to geek squad and get cheated $50. I believe some of the hardware might of gotten messed up because of the powerloops.
