Computer Freeze

Hello,
Im having some trouble with my computer. It has a AMD Athlon 64 3500+, with 1.25gb of ram, and windows 7. Every time i try to start a program, or even a simple task like loading a web page the computer completely freezes, and i have to restart it. Ive tried drivers, but it still does the same. Thanks for your help, this is really frustrating.

You need add more ram because win7 system requirements minimum 1GB RAM to run.

boot into safe mode f8. run msconfig..turn off everything in start up but your anti virus software. run ccleaner and defrag..malware bytes scan and a good anti virus scan. from hirem boot cd..run memtest86 and some drive tests.
