More about building links
  1. I have been working on a guide that I would like to get around to submitting to TH. You can look over it and see if it helps you any.
  2. There is a "Picture Guide to Computer Building and Hardware Installation" at the Gamespot forum. They also have a sticky called "Rate my rig thread".

One of the best guides for how to build a pc can be found on youtube.

It was uploaded by newegg and comes in 3 parts.
    Part 1 is picking components
    Part 2 is building
Part 3 is installing software and drivers

The video's are quite long, but are very in depth and certainly helped me with my first build.

    Here's a link for Part 2:
  4. Yes that is a great video, watched it myself, however, installing the components is not my issue. My only actual issue with the build is cable management. And they don't really touch that in that video.
  5. You will need to do the cable management. And it will probably take you two or three times to get it "right".

If your case has a bottom mounted PSU, you will probably need a CPU power extension cable.

  6. My case did come with a cpu extension cable, so im set.
