CD Burners

I need to know what the best burner is for around $250

  1. From what I've heard, Plextor drives are among the best. They come with a Fuji product called Burnproof (or something like that) that pretty much guarantees no Buffer Underrun errors. I'm quite satisfied with my Philips 8x4x32.

  3. Yeah , the PLEXTOR is the best burner!
    But the BURN-proof technology is from SANYO not Fuji!
    You must be a lucky owner because Philips burners are crap!

    Better burn in Hell with some company than freeze in Heaven all alone
  4. I'd get either a Plextor 12x10x32A with burn-proof, or a similar speed TDK Velo-CD with burn-proof. Either way, you can't go wrong. The biggest difference between the two is that the Plextor uses Adaptec software, while the TDK uses NERO CD. So read some reviews of the two software programs, and then make your choice. Also, the TDK burns a little faster on-the-fly (20x or something like that)!!! :eek:
