Do u need a program to use a lcd tv as a monitor

Hello,
Do you need a program to use a 32" lcd tv as a monitor if the current monitor is an lcd monitor just smaller or can it simply be plugged in and used as is or in place of the smaller monitor. Can it cause any damage to either the television or the pc, if so what kind of problems should I expect?

As long as you have the right cords and inputs/outputs you are good to go. You may need to manually change your desktop resolution so that it matches that of the TV.

as long as your TV has an input connection type that your GPU can work with then go ahead.
