What Did I Pay For?

I got a Corsair AX750. Top of the line Corsair model, I do believe. Why the hell did it cost me $160 ? I'm sure there's a reason. I'm just curious is all. Maybe I should have upped the wattage and gone with a lower end model. I want to run another 7870 some day and put an SSD in my rig. Can I do it? I just want to get some knowledge.
