PSU Runs AKA I Can Boot Up My Computer And It Run But Fan Not Running?

Hey everyone I just got my Corsair AX850 PSU so i put it in and great it works, my computer is running and was going to start a movie. Before I did that I was going to put the side case on, since i knew it works now but i realized that the fan is not working at all, the unit is not spinning. So i thought something was stuck which i didn't see anything, so i reboot the computer and then the PSU fan starts spinning for about 1-2 secs. So is it something that i can fix's or just send it back to newegg.ca???? Never seen this before, so any thoughts you guys?

GPU: AMD 6970 XFX x2

MB: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX

RAM: G.SKills Sniper DDR3 2x8GB 1600 1.25 Low Voltage

Antec 1200 Case Full Upgraded Fans, With 6 Fan Controller

Check your documentation. I am pretty sure that PSU's fan only runs when the PSU is under load; was there not a warning band around the PSU when you got it? That PSU is based on the Seasonic "X" series, and that is how they are.

Really it's fine? So your saying it will only spin the fan when I play a blue-ray movie for a while and or play a hard core game like BF3 at full graphics?

It will only spin when a load/certain temperature is reached. So if you are just surfing the internet and not doing anything that will really draw power, there is no point of the fan spinning because there really is nothing to cool down! However, when you play a game such as metro 2033 where both of your cards will be sucking a lot of power, that is when the fan will spin up!
