Hello everyone,

BF3 is crashing on me every 1-2 minutes. I know this have been an issue of many gamers.

As I have researched, some of the successful people that were able to fix this problem flashed their cards to the latest BIOS.

I am planning to flash my card to the latest BIOS version

Latest Bios Version : 70.10.20.00.00
My Current Bios Version : 70.10.17.00.00

But before I do that, I would like to know if other gamers experience this. I wanted to make sure that this will really fix the problem before I flash my card. Because it is risky to flash the card.

For asus gtx 580 direct cu 2 owners with battlefield 3,
1. Does your game crash?
2. What is your BIOS version?

Thanks in advance

Your card's bios has nothing to do with it. Make sure you have a powerfull enough psu and up to date drivers. What web browser do you use. I use FF, and battlelog does seem pretty stable with it. Some occasional game crashes, but that is on the server end I'm pretty sure.

@gmcizzle
- my psu is corsair hx 750w. I think it is sufficient.
- Game is crashing even in single player. "Has stopped working" error appears. Then quit to desktop.
- Im thinking it is probably my hard disk, since every crash is almost always followed or after by an autosave or loading. But ALL of my other games are running fine. Metro 2033, Dirt 3, Crysis Warhead.

I am always running on stock core and voltages.

One time I tried raising the voltage to around ~1.063. Core clock to ~832. Cant really remember exactly. Ran pretty stable on other games.

But on BF3, still crashes. However, when I check the Asus GPU Tweak Monitor, I noticed that max voltage only reached 1.025.

Maybe my clock speed is not enough?

Did you try running the card with 1.025V core voltage and 772MHz default core clock?
