Forum Networking : General Discussion ASUS P5KC not installing/using ethernet drivers...

My ASUS P5KC is not installing/using the Attansic ethernet drivers correctly. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate and I'm using the Vista 64-bit (since those are the only ones available on the site that match).

I install the drivers, reset, the network icon shows up in the bottom righthand corner with an X over it. When I click troubleshoot, it tells me that a network adapter needs to be installed. I check the device manager and there's no network adapter there.

I have the onboard network enabled in the BIOS, so I don't know why this is happening. Any ideas?

If all else fails pop in a PCI ethernet adapter that does have a Win 76 4 bit driver available. You may be best advised to disable the onboard adapter.
